Is slide using connection pool?

Hi all,

If slide uses database as its store and contentstore in the Domain.xml,
does it use connection pool for its connection to the database each time
regarding to each method. If yes, could you please let me know in which
class I can find the related code, and if not, could you please explain
it why to take me out of  wrong  side.
