Bookkeeper on SSD with btrfs

Have any of you folks noticed a slowdown while running bookkeeper tests on
btrfs? They run as normal on my work laptop, but my home computer, which
has btrfs, runs them really slowly. Would save me some time if someone else
has already solved it.

I haven't tried myself but a search seems to give some hints that other people are also observing degradation (not on BK though), like:
