spout to read from zeroMQ

Hi guys,

Could we have a spout which can read from zeroMQ using it as pub/sub mechanism?

Could we have a spout which is sitting behind some front end, where I can send messages directly?

Do we have implementations of these patterns in Storm platform?

Thanks,
Alex

I did, but didn't think about as potential ingress mechanism. That sounds very interesting though.

Is this a good idea to try and setup DRPC as ingress layer into Storm?

Have you looked at the Trident DRPC stuff?

Hi Alex,

For now you can find all spout/bolts created by 3rd parties in
https://github.com/nathanmarz/storm-contrib

Maybe you can use the kafka spout instead of ZeroMQ for now...

Cheers
