[jira] [Created] (CAMEL-22132) Camel-weaviate update ignores properties and forces merge
Jiri Ondrusek created CAMEL-22132:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Camel-weaviate update ignores properties and forces merge
Key: CAMEL-22132
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-22132
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: camel-ai
Affects Versions: 4.12.0
Reporter: Jiri Ondrusek
Assignee: Jiri Ondrusek
I'm working on weaviate extension in camel-quarkus. I noticed that the update_by_id operation is too restrictive.
According to the documentation, basic operation is [update object properties|https://weaviate.io/developers/weaviate/manage-data/update#update-object-properties] and then there is a [replace an entire object|https://weaviate.io/developers/weaviate/manage-data/update#replace-an-entire-object]. To allow both operations via camel-weaviate, minor changes has to be provided. (Currently the properties are not used in update action and there is no way of skipping `withMerge()`)
