[D] Horizontal Bar chart numeric values are not displayed until the end in full [superset]
GitHub user saha23412 created a discussion: Horizontal Bar chart numeric values are not displayed until the end in full
Bar chart in the "Charts" section

This is how the graph is displayed on the dashboard. As you can see in the screenshot below, the largest value is not fully displayed, the value of 912.294 is truncated to 912.29. Moreover, when reproducing the problem on the full screen of the monitor, the numbers are almost not cut off, but if you reduce the size of the browser window (collapse into the window and stretch it not to the full tap) or view on the laptop screen, the numeric values begin to crop.Is it possible to always display values without changing the scale?

This is a known limitation in Superset: numeric value labels at the end of horizontal bars can get truncated or clipped when there isn't enough space, especially on smaller screens or when resizing the chart container. The label position is set to "right" by default, and there isn't a user-facing setting to force full numeric label display regardless of chart size or scale. Both ECharts and NVD3 chart implementations render labels based on available space, so truncation is unavoidable in some layouts. The only reliable way to always see the full value is to ensure enough space in the chart or use tooltips, which have been improved for axis labels but not for value labels themselvesĀ [reference](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/35554).
A workaround is to change the label position from "right" to "inside" in the ECharts transformer code (`superset-frontend/plugins/plugin-chart-echarts/src/Timeseries/transformers.ts`), but this requires modifying the source code and recompiling Superset. Maintainers have discussed adding a user control for "bar label placement" to allow users to select label positions such as "Inside" or "Outside" (right), but this is not yet implementedĀ [reference](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/25131).
For now, adjusting the chart/container size or relying on tooltips is the best way to avoid truncation.
