[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-8071) Rethink Query interface in admin UI
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-8071?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14803344#comment-14803344 ]
Shawn Heisey commented on SOLR-8071:

I like how the Newegg search interface lets you add restrictions to your search, then gives you breadcrumbs across the top to describe your whole search, where you can click a "x" to remove individual query restrictions. If the builder interface that is envisioned could have something similar with query parameters, it would be pretty nice.

> Note from Upayavira on SOLR-7666:
> bq. I agree that the query tab is difficult in that it expects you to know what all these options mean. I'd love to see a new take on the query tab - a bit more akin to what /browse does - a more traditional query interface. But it'd take quite some thinking as to how to make it generic and work across all datasets.
