Jmeter Ant Task-java.lang.NullpointerException issue
Hi,
We are trying to load test our website for the order-placing scenario(like a user browses the site, selects the products, adds to cart and finally places the order). In our test case, we have one thread group and in side that, we have a number of transaction controllers only. Inside the transaction controllers there are http samplers( we have the GIF s and JPEG request also in our test plan). The jmx script is running fine from JMeter GUI or from ANT task from a single m/c. But, whenever we are trying to run it in a distributive mode from ant task( that is, generating the load from two m/c's using ant task by setting runremote="true" in build.xml), it is throwing the following exception :
java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.apache.jorphan.collections.HashTree.traverseInto(HashTree.java:979)
at org.apache.jorphan.collections.HashTree.traverse(HashTree.java:962)
at org.apache.jmeter.engine.StandardJMeterEngine.run(StandardJMeterEngine.java:294)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)
also, some times the exception is thrown by load m/c 1, some times by load m/c 2.
If we try to execute other test cases with similar structure, they are running fine.
We are simply not getting any clue as to why this is happening.
The version of the Jmeter we are running is 2.1.1
and the java version is 4.2.1_04
the ant version is 1.6.5
The java heap size is set as 512Mb.
the load M/C's are dual processor 4Gb RAM m/cs.
Experts, plz help us.
Thanks and Regards
MUKUL

Try running two separate instances instead.
Remote mode is much more difficult to get working correctly.
