[jira] [Commented] (TEZ-1622) Implement a "tez jar" equivalent script to avoid the complexities of "hadoop jar"

Jonathan Eagles commented on TEZ-1622:
--------------------------------------

There is substantial overlapping work in TEZ-2658. Can we try to understand the path forward of getting this feature by drawing a clear line of what will going into each JIRA? At first glance this JIRA seems aimed at the shell script framework while TEZ-2658 seems aimed at adding certain functionalities.

> Currently, the only way to run a tez job by hand is to setup multiple parameters like HADOOP_CLASSPATH and then do hadoop jar {{main-class}}.
> This is inconvenient and complex - find an easier way.
