indeed regarding external publication of sensitive data but as many organisations use the maven generated project site to act as the a project's status and information 'site' (we include our UML models, design documents, code reports, javadocs, etc, etc) i think it would be useful if we could also include the full details of the settings that were used to generate the project. This is somewhat different to using a maven project to develop and publish an external product web site.
