[jira] [Commented] (DRILL-1662) drillbit.sh stop should timeout

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-1662?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14202779#comment-14202779 ]

Patrick Wong commented on DRILL-1662:
-------------------------------------

Looks like timeout is currently set to 1200 seconds (20 minutes) before force-killing

Also looks like there is already a parameter named DRILL_STOP_TIMEOUT

What is the result you get if you {{export DRILL_STOP_TIMEOUT=30}} ?

> We need a timeout as part of the drillbit.sh stop
> Can we have a configurable parameter with a default of 30 seconds and after that the timeout should kill the drillbit.sh
