Re: [continuum] BUILD FAILURE: OpenEJB - OpenEJB -

David,
for some reason the dependency...
    <dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.openejb</groupId>
      <artifactId>javaee-api</artifactId>
      <version>6.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
    </dependency>
at /openejb3/container/openejb-jee/pom.xml
is using the javase1.5 instead of javase1.6.
The method "XMLInputFactory.newFactory()" is from javase1.6.

Thiago.

Guys,

did you check the Buildbot CI system as well. There we may be probably
using a JDK V6 IIRC...

Cheers
Daniel

Either with the 1.6.0_21

Yep, i looked on sun web site and on the on-line documentation, but no way
to get the related update.
Yes, we can probably install a new VM.

Gonna check with David or may be Daniel cause dunno how to connect to the CI
platform.

I've got the code compiling yesterday. Here is my java version...

java version "1.6.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 16.3-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

The vmbuild machine has another ones...

 Building machine hostname: vmbuild.apache.org
 Operating system : Linux(unknown)
 Java Home version :
         java version "1.6.0_06"
         Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_06-b02)
         Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b22, mixed mode, sharing)

AND

Java Home version :
         java version "1.5.0_12"
         Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build
1.5.0_12-b04)
         Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_12-b04, mixed mode,
sharing)

JLouis,
I think you're right.
Probably the newFactory method was added somewhere between java 1.6.0_06
and 1.6.0_20. Do we have access to that machine? Can we install the latest
java version there?

Hey guys,

is it possible to get the latest JDK in our CI platform?
Otherwise, we need to use deprecated methods in order to get successful
builds.

Thiago,

I have the same problem too, but i'm using a JDK 1.6.0_12.
Gonna try to get the latest available JDK. The #newFactory() methods should
have been added after.

Anyway, good catch.
