problem with Ant

I'm a Tomcat new user, and I'm trying to build the
Helloword example found in doc/appdev/example
directory

And I get the error: unexpected 'init'
parameter:build.xml

In my Ant documentation, I saw that only the following
parameters are allowed:
 - for the tag 'project': name, default,basedir
 - for the tag 'target': name,depends,if,unless

And you ?

I don't known if I'm using the right Ant version (is
this really the lqst one I have downloaded ?)
