[jira] Created: (CONTINUUM-550) Auto login AKA "remember me on this computer" option

Auto login AKA "remember me on this computer" option
----------------------------------------------------

         Key: CONTINUUM-550
         URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM-550
     Project: Continuum
        Type: New Feature

  Components: Web interface
    Versions: 1.0.2
 Environment: Firefox/Internet explorer
    Reporter: Geoffrey
    Priority: Minor
     Fix For: 1.1

On the login page it would be very handy to have a checkbox "Remember me (on this computer)" or "Auto-login", similar to the one you see when logging into jira.

If the user enables it, he is automatically logged in the next time.
Although this can be considered as a potiential hole in security of which the user should be aware when enabling it,
it's very handy on a computer you consider to be secure.

Extra issue: it might be a good idea to ask the old password when changing the password of the current user.

Sorry, I didn't know there was already such an issue.
I did a search on all issues but found nothing.
I am using 1.0.2.

After looking through the issues, I presume it's a duplicate of CONTINUUM-542
