Hive table creation under user's home directory?

Hi,
    I'm just getting started with Sentry and I noticed something that I
want to clarify. All of the documentation I've read has said that Hive will
create new tables under its warehouse directory ("/user/hive/warehouse" is
what's configured). But with Sentry enabled, it seems to be creating them
in the home directory of the connected user, albeit owned by the hive user.
Is that correct, or have I misconfigured something somewhere?

Here they are (attached). The user creating the table is "cloudera" with
local group "cloudera".

That's doesn't look right. Can you share your hive-site.xml,
sentry-site.xml and policy files?
