[users@httpd] mod_perl

Hello everybody, I have a problem loading up perl_mod, I have installed it
in a DSO mode, the problem shows up when i wanna use it(mod_perl).
The message is as follows:
httpd: Syntax error on line 55 of /home/mig/server/conf/httpd.conf
Cannot load /home/mig/server/modules/mod_perl.so into server
/home/mig/server/modules/mod_perl.so undefined symbol:PerlIOBase_binmode

The problem just occurs after i have wrotten the line in httpd: LoadModule
perl_module modules/mod_perl.so at httpd.conf, the file mod_perl.so was
created successfully at /modules.

I use Debian/Sarge kernel 2.4, Apache 2.2.0, mod perl 2

Plz, help!!!!!!!!!
