I have been moderating too. But as recently discussed at
incubator.apache.org general mailing list, choosing reply all will result in
the person sending the message to be added to the allow list. So we can add
all the trusted people to the list by replying all to the moderate request
mails.

Thanks,
Enis

Hi Henry,

Yep, no probs.

Here is a guide from the Apache website on how to interact with EZLM, our mail infrastructure:

http://www.apache.org/foundation/mailinglists.html

Basically what it boils down to is that everything is handled via email. Moderators get slightly odd looking emails from EZLM asking them to approve or reject mails or approve or reject subscriptions to lists and so forth, and then they reply to those mails to interact with EZLM.

It looks like from [1] that the current mods are Dave Woollard and Henry Saputra and Doğacan Güney, that sound right?

HTH,
Chris

Hi Henry,

It should be moderated subscription on gora-private, and then it's up to the list mods to know whether the people are on the PPMC/IPMC and whether to allow them to join.

Our policy should be:

Gora PPMC/Committers->allowed, through moderation
Gora Mentors/IPMC members->allowed, through moderation
ASF members->allowed, through moderation
Others->not allowed, through moderation

Cheers,
Chris

I am not sure how to manage the gora-private list.

AFAIK it should be just committers and PMC but I think now everyone could
subscribe to it.
