Validation of a modification to a DOM tree

Hi,

I had a DOM tree which had been generated from a flat file (order.xml). The
content of this xml file was validated by an external DTD.

I have then made a few modifications to this DOM tree. Unfortunately, these
modifications are no more validated by the DTD. This means that the DOM tree
generated by program is no more valid.

Is there any solution to my problem ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Denis

Hi, Denis,

Currently there is no support to re-apply validation rules to a DOM
tree.

DOM Level 3 Working Draft address this issue (Content Models and
Validation) but it's still in very early stages. Thus, xerces does not
support it.
