Hi [~beettlle], yes, I am working on this (though at a slow pace). There are a few users of Thrift2 I know of, and we should make sure we are moving towards it as Thrift1 is outdated API wise and is lacking features. I will add those into Thrift2 only going forward.

+1 from me for integration into Bigtop.
