Re: Output indentation of XML not working, HTML okay.

(Replying to group because this is barely relevant to the bug)

Brian,

You use an XML Namespace for Xalan of http://xml.apache.org/xslt . Out of
curiosity, what is supposed to be there? I turn up a "Not found" error.

Thanks.

As a Buddhist monk would put it: "Mu." You have asked a question that is
not a question.

A namespace URI is just a unique literal string; the only reason it's a
URI is because we know how to manage URIs so folks won't accidentally use
the same one for different purposes.

Namespaces are never dereferenced (at least, not by any current
standard!), so there is no requirement regarding what should be "there" or
indeed that there be any "there" there at all. Some folks put
documentation at that location. Some put a schema there. Some don't put
anything there. There is no wrong answer.

The Semantic Web efforts may or may not eventually change this. (I'm very
skeptical about that proposal, but will applaud if they can make it into
something useful.)
