javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicTableUI.paint(Graphics g, JComponent c) does not throw unspecified NPE when g is null while RI does.
It's a compatibility issue.
test for reproducing:
import junit.framework.TestCase;
import javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicTableUI;
import javax.swing.JTable;
import javax.swing.JToolBar;
public class test extends TestCase
{
public void testPaint()
{
BasicTableUI localBasicTableUI = new BasicTableUI();
localBasicTableUI.installUI( new JTable());
try
{
localBasicTableUI.paint(null, new JToolBar());
fail("NPE is not thrown");
}
catch (NullPointerException expectedException)

}
}
}
