How to contribute Sourcecode?

Hi all,

I tried to read up on documentation how to start contributing Sourcecode. I already created an account on JIRA and browsed some of the newbie issues to find something to dive into.

According to http://camel.apache.org/source.html I cloned from https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/camel.git but I noticed that there is a Git repository too and people are using the pull requests to contribute.

What's the preferred way to start? Should I use the repository on apache.org or should I use Github?

Carsten

You should also consider reading [1].
And cloning the GitHub repo [2] is convenient.
