Good point. Thanks for reminding us this… ☺ I had committed to release it a few weeks back and I didn’t… As we’ve already had a vote to release it, I’ll do the release in the coming few days. 

WRT your error, it’s simple. You’re missing aspectjtools.jar in your CP. Please see http://jakarta.apache.org/cactus/participating/howto_build.html for how to build from sources. But it’s not an easy process…

In any case, if I haven’t released 1.6 in 2 days, I’ll upload a nightly build for you.

Hi,
What is the status of 1.6?
I am looking for a recent build, but the nightly builds stopped at april 18, trying to build it myself from CVS I gave up after the build failed with:
compile.main:
 
BUILD FAILED
C:\cactus\jakarta-cactus\framework\build.xml:242: Could not create task or type of type: iajc.
 
Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
