[jira] [Created] (ACCUMULO-2374) could not delete a table: wrong system password

Eric Newton created ACCUMULO-2374:
-------------------------------------

Summary: could not delete a table: wrong system password
                 Key: ACCUMULO-2374
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-2374
             Project: Accumulo
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: master
    Affects Versions: 1.4.4
            Reporter: Eric Newton

A user showed me a large cluster that has been upgraded over the years from 1.3 (and earlier) to 1.4.4. He was unable to delete a table because the digest password was still the DEFAULT on some old tables.

This may be a bug in the ChangeSecret class, or it could have been a result of a miss-matched configuration at some time in the past. In any case, ChangeSecret should be able to recover.

In this case the /tables/id/state and /tables/id nodes needed to be updated to the new secret.
