Jakarta Avalon Release

The Jakarta Avalon team are proud to announce the first beta release
of three of our sub projects:

Jakarta Avalon Framework 4.0b1
The Framework is the foundation for all the Avalon projects, as well
as Apache JAMES and Apache Cocoon. It defines the interfaces and
contracts that can be used to build systems.

Jakarta Avalon Excalibur 4.0b1
Excalibur is a collection of utilities and Avalon Components that
are ready for you to use. Among the utilities are object pooling,
populating component managers by configuration file, JDBC connection
  pooling, and multithreaded concurrency management.

Jakarta Avalon LogKit 1.0b1
LogKit is a lightweight but powerful logging framework used
throughout the Avalon projects as well as Apache Cocoon.

This release marks API stability in the three projects. The next
release will primarily focus on documentation.

Nice job people. I have been watching this project for what seems like
forever and it is good to see such progress. I'm very much anticipating some
