I finally had some time to start taking a look at the grouping module and again at the patch here.
There is too much code there for me to come up with a test case soon.
So please don't wait for me to commit this.
An easy way to test this would be to have a boolean query with required term and an optional term,
with the optional term occurring in a document group in a document before (i.e. with a lower docId than)
a document in the same group with a required term.
In case I run into this I'll open a separate issue.
