Summary: Apache version 2.0.59 seg dumps with Virtual Host
directive
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.0.58
Platform: Sun
OS/Version: SunOS
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: Runtime Config
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: scott.smith@t-systems.co.uk
Whilst upgrading from httpd 2.0.58 to 2.0.59 I seem to have a problem which I
have narrowed down to a problem with the VirtualHost directive.
Apache will start up successfully if I completely remove an yreferences to the
VirtualHost directive, but a combination of the following cause it to
segmentation dump each time.
eg. example 1
Listen webws1stg8.t-mobile.co.uk:8080
<VirtualHost webws1stg8.t-mobile.co.uk:8080>
# # ServerName: the name that the server uses to identify itself.
ServerName myhotspotstg.t-mobile.net
</VirtualHost>
eg. example 2
Listen webws1stg8.t-mobile.co.uk:8080
<VirtualHost *:8080>
ServerName myhotspotstg.t-mobile.net
</VirtualHost>
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
Scott Smith

I doubt that there is a difference between 2.0.58 and 2.0.59. Could you please
provide a backtrace of the segmentation fault (see also
http://httpd.apache.org/dev/debugging.html)
