[jira] [Resolved] (DIRSERVER-1571) FrameworkSuite ignores @CreatePartition annotations

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1571?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Emmanuel Lecharny resolved DIRSERVER-1571.
------------------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

The addPartition() method is useless. Partitions are associated with a DirectoryService, and thus will be created anyway.

The method has been removed in http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?rev=1133849&view=rev

> There's a nice @CreatePartition annotation that promises simpler setting up of partitions compared to creating them programmatically. The org.apache.directory.server.core.integ.FrameworkSuite class even has a private "addPartitions" method that reads this annotation. However it quietly does nothing:
> private void addPartitions( Description description )
>     {
>         CreatePartition createPartition = description.getAnnotation( CreatePartition.class );
>
>         if ( createPartition != null )
>         {
>
>         }
>     }
