Coyote causes StackOverflowError when HTTP transmission interrupted
Summary: Coyote causes StackOverflowError when HTTP transmission
interrupted
Product: Tomcat 4
Version: 4.0.4 Beta 2
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
Status: NEW
Severity: Blocker
Priority: Other
Component: Connector:Coyote
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: regml@btinternet.com
It is fairly easy to cause Coyote to enter a loop which ends up in a
StackOverflowError and renders it unusable.
With a fairly large web page as test content (say around 50kB), use a browser to
download it; then refresh repeatedly, before the whole page content has had a
chance to get to you.
Stack trace is as follows:
java.lang.StackOverflowError
