System update?

Kind of a curiosity question. Is it possible to update a running karaf install in whole. I don't see anything offhand. I had hoped there might be something like a system:update or system:framework -update.

Did you take a look on
http://karaf.apache.org/manual/latest/update-notes.html ?

Even if it's not perfect, it provides some ideas.

I just thought it might be sweet to easily upgrade an existing system (and it's installed features) to the latest versions without going through the standard download/install process.

Hi Scott,

Most of the core features can be update on the fly, however, the low layers (like framework) is really tricky.

system:update sounds like a good idea, but not sure the safest way to implement that ;)
