Oak 1.8.0 release plan

Hello team,

I'm planning to branch Oak 1.8 and cut 1.8.0 on Monday 8th Jan.

By reading previous threads I took it as we are going for 1.8.0 rather
than 2.0

If there are any objections please let me know. Otherwise I will
re-schedule any non-resolved issue for the next iteration.
