mention problem in catalina.out when browser sees: HTTP/1.1 500 No action instance for path /pageNotFound404 could be created

           Summary: mention problem in catalina.out when browser sees:
                    HTTP/1.1 500 No action instance for path
                    /pageNotFound404 could be created
           Product: Struts
           Version: 1.1 Final
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Unknown
        AssignedTo: dev@struts.apache.org
        ReportedBy: hauser@acm.org

I defined "pageNotFound404" in my web.xml
<error-page>
  <error-code>404</error-code>
  <location>/pageNotFound404.do</location>
</error-page>

the access log says:
<<127.0.0.1 - - [23/Jun/2004:07:25:58 +0100] "GET /myApp/myAction.do?Param=1
HTTP/1.1" 500 ->>

and catalina.out nothing but
<<DEBUG [http-2712-Processor4] (ApplicationDispatcher.java:148) -
servletPath=/pageNotFound404.do, pathInfo=null, queryString=null, name=null
DEBUG [http-2712-Processor4] (ApplicationDispatcher.java:370) -  Path Based Forward
DEBUG [http-2712-Processor4] (StandardWrapper.java:700) -   Returning non-STM
instance
DEBUG [http-2712-Processor4] (ApplicationDispatcher.java:407) -  Disabling the
response for futher output
>>. Also in localhost_log, nothing relevant.

After re-depolying everything is fine, but it still would be helpful to know in
such situations what went wrong - was the war file incomplete, other reasons?
