Re: Incubator PMC/Board report for May 2012 ([ppmc])

Hi,

we have to do our board report. I can do it tomorrow morning but if
anyone has some time left it would be great to prepare a first
version.

Just found the answer myself on the Wiki front page [1]. You have to
send an email with your user name to general@incubator.

Hi Rupert, Bertrand,

thanks for putting this together. From my side there is nothing left
to be added.

Best,

Thanks, I have added them to http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/May2012,
slightly summarized the feature list.

Hi,

I would like to add the following points

Community Related

* Contribution of several EnhancementEngines based on LinguaGrid (NLP
framework) by Alessio Bosca (STANBOL-583)
* Integration of DBpedia Spotlight [2] with the Stanbol Enhancer.
Pablo Mendes [2] is now active on the Stanbol lists and will lead this
effort.
* Stanbol presentation in the Developer Track of WWW2012 (slides: [1])

Feature related

* New EnhancementEngine for Apache Tika - as alternative to the Metaxa
engine where some dependencies are not available on maven central
* TopicEngine (STANBOL-197) functional - needs still documentation and
a "better" web interface for classifier training.
* Upcoming implementing the Google Refine [4] Reconciliation Service
API [5] based on the Apache Stanbol Entityhub (STANBOL-594) . This
will allow Users to use the Stanbol Entityhub to reconcile semi
structured data with Entities managed within the Apache Stanbol
Entityhub
* Full LDpath support for the Entityhub Indexing tools (STANBOL-408).

I think the community related points are important and should be
included in the report. Feel free to skip the feature related

best
Rupert

Thanks! I tried to edit the page after I logged in but it says
"Immutable Page". I think there was some change in the access policy
because of some SPAM. What do I have to do to be able again to edit
the report?
