[jira] [Commented] (CALCITE-5269) Implement BigQuery DATE/TIMESTAMP_TRUNC functions

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CALCITE-5269?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17604972#comment-17604972 ]

Julian Hyde commented on CALCITE-5269:
--------------------------------------

As we discussed offline, these functions will need parser changes, and should be added to the core parser, but should only be enabled if {{{}fun=bigquery{}}}. The precedent for this is the {{RLIKE}} operator, added in CALCITE-3574.
