I have a Brother MFC-7340 laser printer. It woks great with a Windows 7 desktop
using open office 3.2.
The printer is now connected to a Windows 10 with Apache Open Office 4 (Latest
update).
There is no problem printing in portrait but when I switch to landscape, the
preview shows the document in spreadsheet, but when I print, it prints
portrait.
When I go to print, even though the page is set to print landscape, the print
view is portrait. If I change to any other option such a Microsoft print to
.pdg, the vies is landscape. It only appears to be with the Brother printer.
Could there be a problem with Apache Open Office or Windows 10. I contacted
Brother support and was told that because it works fine with Windows 7, it is
not a Brother problem.
Any advice or suggestion...

Yet a happy outcome for an user that had a real issue.
It would be good to make the reinstallation of printer drivers more well-known
as something to try before going through various contortions of AOO
reinstallation.
(I also wish we had a different category of resolution for some of these. That
is something we can look into, perhaps.)

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback....... last night I was able to get the landscape to
work.
And you were correct with the solution.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Open Office.... did not solve problem.
The I uninstalled Brother printer and drivers.
Then reinstalled............. and the problem was solved.
The confusion I had was the Brother printer worked with no problem with two
other Window 10 PC's with Open office...
They were formerly Window 8's and upgraded to Window 10's. I never made any
change to the Brother printer and all was fine.
But now since reinstalling the printer software/hardware... problem is solver.

Are you sure to use the last driver version of your Brother printer?
