[jira] [Created] (ARROW-4347) [Python] Run Python Travis CI unit tests on Linux when Java codebase changed

Wes McKinney created ARROW-4347:
-----------------------------------

Summary: [Python] Run Python Travis CI unit tests on Linux when Java codebase changed
                 Key: ARROW-4347
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-4347
             Project: Apache Arrow
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Python
            Reporter: Wes McKinney
             Fix For: 0.13.0

The Java library is also dependency of the Python tests, but the tests aren't triggered if there is a change to the {{java/}} subtree. This blind spot was introduced when the CI jobs were split apart
