Tomcat 5.0.29 won't run Java 1.5 classes.

I have developed a webapplication using JDK1.5 and Struts. Everything runned 
fine until I installed the Tomcat 5.0.29 release. I get an error message 
indicating that the system is incompatible with Java 1.5.
What is the matter?
