AFAIU, concrete {{RemoteStorageManager}} implementations won't be hosted in the Apache Kafka repo. So this ticket should probably be closed as wont-fix.

I've been working on a {{RemoteStorageManager}} implementation that supports AWS S3 and in future other cloud object storages (at least Azure and GCS): [https://github.com/aiven/tiered-storage-for-apache-kafka|https://github.com/aiven/tiered-storage-for-apache-kafka]
