upgrade cassandra from 1.2.6 to 1.2.9 first,
then upgrade from 1.2.9 to 2.0.0 as documented at cassandra upgrade doc

describe command is not giving table definition properly

cqlsh:datadb> DESCRIBE KEYSPACE demoks ;

CREATE KEYSPACE demoks WITH replication = {
  'class': 'SimpleStrategy',
  'replication_factor': '2'
};

USE demoks;

CREATE TABLE demodb (
  description text,
  symbol text,
