i have a similar issue with firefox. firebug shows that some of the get requests just timeout when using ssl. chrome and firefox seem to handle it ok. dont know what to look at in ats but willing to help. i dont have these issues if using unencrypted connection to ats. Origin server connections are not encrypted. Just client connection unlike kurt.

sorry. i meant chrome and ie seem to handle it ok.

I think I have reproduced this, so I'll try to figure out where it's breaking. SSL is not my area of expertise though, so any help is appreciated.

I think I've narrowed this down a bit, and I think it's a regression of sorts (or more likely, a side effect). The patch that seemed to cause the problem is

http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/trafficserver/traffic/trunk/iocore/net/UnixNet.cc?r1=1095424&r2=1095423&pathrev=1095424

I'm still looking at this, to see if I can find something, but input is appreciated.

> ATS has SSL server certificates. The backend is accessed via SSL as well which uses the same certificates. It fails with FireFox, but works with Google Chrome.

Oh, if anyone wants to try it, just do e.g.
{code}
patch -R -p3 < file_with.diff
{code}

I'm currently not sure why this is failing with SSL only, it's as if it need to keep those VCs on the list "longer" for the SSL connections :/.

--------------------------------

we also use ubuntu 10.04.3 x64 and ats 3.0.1
certificate is a godaddy wildcard cert if that matters.
