Nutch error /conf/masters: No such file or directory

hi all...

i am a novice user.. :)

I am trying to run nutch 9.0 on 2 machines  FC5

using this tutorial http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/NutchHadoopTutorial

it runs well on one machine ... Master
but not on the Slave....


http://localhost:50030/jobtracker.jsp

shows 

Tasks/Node : 2
Node          : 1

It shows 2 Jobtrackers but nothing for slave

How should i check whats running on slave and whether the results fetched in
search on tomcat are from both the master and slave or only master

when i shutdown it gives following error..

cat: /var/www/html/nutch-0.9.0/search/bin/../conf/masters: No such file or
directory

but the file location is under

/var/www/html/nutch-0.9.0/search/conf/masters

please help...

I figured it out myself only.....

the Folder was write protected and i chmod -R 777 

everything is fine now

now when i do

bin/hadoop dfs -put urls urls

i get error

Bad connection to FS. command aborted.


what, where i am wrong... can anyone help me???
