Problem with number of include files

Summary: Problem with number of include files
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.44
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://www.teracom.com.br
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: Other
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: vinicius@teracom.com.br

We have here an weard problem. If we put in httpd.conf more than 350 include
files (with virtualhosts into them) our cgi (like cgi of qmailadmin) stops
working (INTERNAL SERVER ERROR) and the php stops working too ("too many open
files"). The apache was configurated with only '--prefix=/usr/local/apache'. Is
there a problem or a misconfiguration?

Sorry for the english!

Vinicius
